As a leader it can be hard to provide the right level of accountability.
Nobody wants to be a micromanager who can't stay out of their team's way and nobody wants to be too hands off where you are clueless to what's going on.
Both have consequences and it can be an incredibly hard dance to find your footing especially if you are new leader.
Here's a few symptoms that might pop up if you are a hands-off leader OR are working for one.
1. Lack of Vision & Understanding the Right Priorities.
2. Fails to Coordinate with Other Departments.
3. Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen.
4. Leaders May Overstep Their Authority.
5. Individual & Team Morale Fades.
Any of these even own their own can be completely defeating to an individual and/or team and as a leader it can be hard to know when to check in and when to let them be.
